talk therapy
talk, reflect, and grow
Talk therapy is a collaborative process where we explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, life experiences, and patterns in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. Together, we'll work to understand what's keeping you stuck while building new ways of responding that feel more authentic, connected, and aligned with the life you want to live.
While talking is an important part of therapy, meaningful change often happens when insight is paired with emotional healing and nervous system regulation. That's why I tailor therapy to your unique needs, integrating evidence-based approaches that support both your mind and body.

My Approach
No two people are the same, and therapy shouldn't be either.
Depending on your goals, I may draw from several evidence-based therapies, including:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps you develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions while taking meaningful action guided by your values. Rather than fighting uncomfortable feelings, you'll learn how to make room for them without letting them control your life.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Our emotions provide important information about our needs and relationships. EFT helps you better understand your emotional experiences, strengthen your connection with yourself and others, and create healthier patterns in relationships.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR helps the brain process traumatic or overwhelming experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity. It is an effective treatment for trauma, anxiety, and other experiences that continue to affect your present.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS views the mind as made up of different "parts," each with its own role and purpose. Together, we'll get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion, helping them heal rather than judging or trying to eliminate them.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness teaches us to become more aware of the present moment with openness and compassion. These practices can reduce stress, increase emotional regulation, and help you respond to life's challenges with greater intention.
The Gottman Method
For couples, I use principles from the Gottman Method to strengthen communication, deepen friendship, manage conflict more effectively, and build healthier, more secure relationships.
Somatic Experiencing®
Trauma doesn't just affect our thoughts—it also lives in the nervous system. Somatic Experiencing is a gentle, body-based approach that helps release patterns of stress and survival while restoring a greater sense of safety, resilience, and connection.
Therapy That Fits You
You don't need to know which therapy is "right" for you before you begin.
We'll work together to understand your goals and develop a personalized treatment plan that draws from the approaches most likely to support your healing. Sometimes that means exploring emotions through conversation. Other times it means noticing what your body is communicating, processing a difficult memory, or practicing new ways of responding to life's challenges.
My goal is always the same: to help you feel more connected to yourself, more secure in your relationships, and more able to move through life with confidence, resilience, and hope.
